ABOUT CANE CORSO

The Cane Corso is now known primarily as a family companion and a guard dog. They quickly bond with their owners, are naturally good with children, and enjoy being included in family activities. With family and close friends, they’ll display an almost goofy personality. As natural guard dogs, they have a tendency to be protective of their families and suspicious of change. They require strong and constant leadership, but their undying loyalty makes them easy to train.

Although they might appear intimidating, these dogs are highly sensitive. A harsh word is typically sufficient to discipline a Cane Corso and they will often sulk for hours after receiving a reprimand. They crave love and affection so much that they’re often described as “velcro dogs,” and can sometimes suffer from separation anxiety. Although their sleek and athletic bodies lend themselves well to activities like running, swimming, and hiking, they’re generally very calm when indoors. They are quiet dogs and typically only bark as a way to alert you of intruders or other strange situations.

For families willing to make the commitment, the Cane Corso is one of the absolute best breeds you can choose. If you’re ready to be completely, fiercely, and unconditionally loved by a pet, the Cane Corso is an excellent choice.

Our company takes care of the litter during the first eight weeks to ensure their health and hardiness. Our services include:

ear cropping
deworming
shots (records are produced to the purchaser)
tail docking

STUD SERVICES

We can assist clients in determining if our males are suitable for their females. In order for any breeding to take place we must verify the following:

The bitch's registration
Hip certification
The bitch's age at time of breeding

Stud contract and fee is due prior to any breeding services.

VFW CANE CORSO POLICIES

All families must be approved. A Cane Corso is not for everyone. We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone at any time for any reason.

All litters are carefully planned, far in advance, with specific goals in mind.

We focus on stable temperament and excellent health.

All puppies receive individual human attention and interaction on a daily basis from the moment of birth. We realize the importance of early socialization and stimulation for developing temperament and take this responsibility seriously.

All puppies will receive:

tail docking
ear cropping
vitamins
vaccinations will be up to date and you will receive these records with your puppy
deworming

Guarantee

We guarantee our puppies to be free of crippling hip dysplasia and congenital health defects through terms of contract.

Deposits

Deposits are done upon selection with temperament matching in mind. All applications must be approved then you may select your puppy at birth and puppy will be released at eight weeks of age. Deposit are nonrefundable but can be applied to another litter.

Stud Service

We offer stud service to some of our males. We can help you to determine if one of our males is well suited for your female.

We like to see the female in person if possible. If not, photos of the female will be required.

The following is to be presented prior to the breeding taking place:

Bitch’s registration/pedigree
Hip certification
Bitch must be at least 18 months of age at the time of the breeding

Stud fee is due prior to services being rendered. If for some reason the pregnancy does not take, we will repeat the process one time on the bitch‘s next season.
